A gap exists between the graduation rates of urban and suburban students in some of the country’s major cities, says an article out today. One quote in the article blames the gap on income. In Social Context, we are reading and studying about this very topic, how socioeconomic status affects educational attainment. In addition, we are studying how race, family, neighborhood, resources, and several other factors potentially impact (or at least relates with) educational success.
